A majority of health insurance policies cover daycare treatment for less than 24 hours hospitalization where technologically advanced methods do not require it, hospitalization with a cashless facility in networked hospitals and reimbursement in the case of the non-network hospital as well as domiciliary hospitalization and critical illnesses. Exclusions are pre-existing diseases diagnosed 48 months before taking the policy, ailments developed in the first 30 days of policy with exception being an accident, medical expenses for AIDS, congenital diseases, in vitro and infertility treatments, substance abuse-related conditions, self-inflicted injury, suicide attempts, dental treatment, cosmetic surgery and injury due to high-risk hobbies. Specific details can be found in your health insurance policy document.
